Hello travel buddies,
We know you can’t wait to get out there and explore as soon as it’s safe to, and we want to assure you that we’ve been working hard to give you peace of mind when the time comes for you to head off on your next Wonder adventure.
It’s that time of year... the time where you’d normally start to see endless articles about the best summer camp destinations to discover in 2021. But this year, the world looks very different. So, instead of just wondering where we’ll be traveling this year, take a moment to consider how we’ll travel. The world is changing, and camping trends are too.
Our new Safe Travels guidelines are designed to help you feel safe and stay healthy on your dream summer trip. Plus, we’ve received the World Travel and Tourism Council’s Safe Travels stamp, demonstrating we have adopted health and hygiene global standardized protocols. Check them out, so we can travel together again!
The safety of our team, customers, guides, vendors, and the wider local community remains our main priority and any return to operations will be done in a safe and responsible way. We are only operating tours in destinations where local governments have deemed it safe to resume group activities and will continue to add new cities as they are approved.
It is mandatory to follow social distancing guidelines from local health authorities at all times. We will adjust itineraries to assist with physical distancing (e.g. picnics overcrowded marketplaces or detouring to avoid an unexpected crowd). We visit less-crowded destinations and prioritize the availability of single supplements for travelers who do not wish to share a room.
It is mandatory to follow up-to-date advice from local health authorities in each destination. We will advise customers that they should bring a mask to the tour and our guides to have spare masks to give to customers.
We are auditing all hotels/apartments and require them to detail their cleaning and sanitation protocols.
Where appropriate we’re including outdoor eating such as picnics on our itineraries, but when we visit a restaurant our group will always have our own table.
Our team recommends that you use private transport where possible. All transport will adjust capacity in line with local legislation and must be thoroughly cleaned between guests with all high-touch surfaces in shared areas regularly cleaned and disinfected.
Where using public transport is unavoidable, local guidelines regarding distancing and PPE will be followed, and hand sanitizer will be used before entry and after exit.
We have long-term, trusting relationships with all our partners, who are all committed to adhering to our Safe Travels guidelines.
Our team will be always there to make sure your wellbeing is prioritized – from sourcing hand sanitizer to knowing when are the least crowded times to visit attractions.
All staff have been trained, or re-trained, on the following areas before operating a Camp:
One vacation - million memories!
See you soon!
